As a competitive triathlete/runner, I got into yoga to recover faster & prevent injury. After years of taking yoga, it became very much apart of my mental & spiritual way of being as well. I became a teacher to bring this practice to others who needed something to compliment everything they do in all aspects of life. Rien vowed never to become a yoga teacher. But after completing the Church of Yoga’s 200-hour teacher training in the summer of 2018, he kept showing up. A working professor, he enjoys instructing beginners at the Church, as well as several local jails, and loves the quiet, calm promise of restorative yoga.
